Salam to all, Oh wow...it was a good break. My first step on Indonesian soil. And it started 750 metres above sea level in the cool city of Bandung. The trip was planned by my old office mates at HRPD TNB. Thanx guys for "cajoling" me to join the trip. Hj Sob & team plus spouses...there were 15 of us. My lovely wife also tagged along (with an additional shopping agenda up her sleeve...as if I am that naive..) thanx also to TNB Co-op Travel for a well organised and managed trip. And yes...our tour guide Pak Agus (Agustian) did his job well..right up to the last moment.. Not wasting any time, the first day I had my first experience witnessing an "active" Volcano....Gunong Tangkuban Perahu (the overturned boat) rising over 2000 metres above sea level about 1 hours' drive / 30km from the city centre. The breezy mountain peak was breathtaking....plus there is the faint smell of sulphur from the volcano's crater. As the cameras clicked away, i was just amazed with the scenery... I suppose, just coming to witness the volcano is worth the trip from home...
